Bengals vs. Chiefs
How to begin, what a game this is gonna be. A rematch of last year's AFC championship game where we saw Joe Burrow beat Patrick Mahomes in a shootout that ended 27-24 in overtime. This time I believe the Bengals will come into Arrowhead and pull away with another win and clinch their second straight super bowl appearance. The main concern for me is Patrick Mahomes ankle. We saw last week in the divisional round game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Patrick Mahomes exited the second quarter with an ankle injury, yes he came back in the game and led them to a win but playing against a tough Bengals defence, he might be forced to run out of the pocket causing him to use his ankle a lot more than usual. The Bengals are coming into this game being the hottest team in the league and people always say when a team gets hot at the right time, especially in the playoffs they can do damage. Joe Burrow hasn't lost to Kansas City in his lifetime and I don't expect him to anytime soon. I do expect a close game and one to remember for our lifetimes however the Bengals will pull away in the 4th quarter winning 27 to 21.
Final Score
Bengals 27 - Chiefs 21
Eagles vs. 49ers
Another game, another amazing matchup. The NFC Championship game will feature the number 1 seed Philadelphia Eagles and the 3 seeded San Francisco 49ers. So we have the best all-around team in football in the Philadelphia Eagles led by Quarterback Jalen Hurts against the best-rated defence in the league being led by Mr. Irrelevant (The last pick in the NFL Draft) Quarterback Brock Purdy. As much as I love the underdog story of Brock Purdy leading this stacked 49ers team to the super bowl I think his luck will run out, I have my eyes set on the Philadelphia Eagles facing off against the Cincinnati Bengals on February 12th in Arizona. The Philadelphia Eagles were banged up all season as they were the team most affected by injuries but that didn't phase them finishing 14-3 and capturing the number 1 seed in the NFC. They are finally healthy and looked better than ever last week blowing the New York Giants out of the water 38-7. This game will be a tough task for the Eagles going up against the top defence in the league and one of the best defences I have seen in my lifetime of watching football. However the Eagles are at home and playing with a fully healthy team, they will take this game by a score of 31 to 20 which will set up a super bowl matchup of the Cincinnati Bengals against the Philadelphia Eagles. A game that could go down in history.
